In order to solve this problem we followed the multi-step engineering design cycle.
1. Identify need: We brainstormed many possible problems and cam up with the idea of marijuana. 2. Research problem:We needed to research the problem of marijuana so all of us read and annotated three different articles each. 3. Develop possible solutions: We did this by brainstorming over 20 solutions that could possibly solve the problem. 4.Select best solution: We chose the solution to educate teens in middle school instead of high school. 5. Construct a prototype: We came up with the concept of a one week class in science where highly educated people go into science class and educate on marijuana. 6. Test and evaluate prototype: We tried to think of the best way to teach about marijuana. We found that the best way was to have it taught in a class not an assembly. 7. Communicate design: We asked many students in our stem class whether having g it be a unit or an assembly would be most effective. 8.Redesign: We changed the way we would teach it in the class a bit. 9>Repeat:We did not have enough time to repeat. |

Reflection:
Overall our group worked very well together however there were a few pits. Some peaks we had were when we could not think of any good solutions then one day we the idea of a sooner education came to us. Another peak was when we managed to finish in time. Some pit were that one of our group members was sick for half of our time. Another pit was when we were coming up with solutions we could not think of a good one for a while. Overall with was a good project in my opinion. |
